Photo / Video Shoot with U2's Bono

Recently, following his interview with president of Focus on the Family, I had the opportunity to do a photo an video shoot with Bono, legendary singer and activist. Bono, known for his lead in the rock band, U2, is also an out-spoken Christian. In his interview, Bono talked about his recognition of Jesus as the Son of God and also his desire for Christians to be more tolerant of those that do not share this belief.

BETTER TOMORROW

I took the Sony FS 700 for a test drive. This is my first time using this camera and also my first time editing in Premiere as I'm trying to make the transition from final cut. I still have a lot to learn about the FS 700 but so far I'm loving this camera. Some shots are blown out because I don't have a Metabones adapter so I don't have much control of the aperture.

LECTIO DIVINA

I have been working in a promotional piece for the Lectio Divina Program to be shown during the 2011 World Youth Day in Spain.

World Youth Day is a youth-oriented Catholic Church event. While the event itself celebrates the Catholic faith, the invitation to attend extends to all youth, regardless of religious convictions.

I want to thank my producer for this project Hannah Travaglini for her amazing work. Also a BIG THANK YOU to the full cast, Alex, Caitlin, Laura, Josh, Chris, David and Karoline and my second shooter Michael Leftwich YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

Eastern State Penitentiary

Last Tuesday I took a day off. I went to the Eastern State Penitentiary with my camera to practice some camera moves. This is the result.

We just came back from Africa

We just came back from Benin and Togo. I'm very tired but pleased with the result of 10 days of hard work shooting a documentary for Netherlands Bible Society.

NAB show next week!!!

Next week I'm going to the NAB SHOW (National Association of Broadcasters),
90,000+ media and entertainment professionals from over 150 countries gather for this event with over $35 billion in purchasing power represented on-site.

I'm going to be attending some seminars and buying some gear. Perhaps 2 cannon 5D mark II a few accessories and a new slider. during the last year I have been working with this home made slider. It works pretty well I only spent 30$ to build it but I want something more portable. I'm going back to Africa for another video shoot next month I want something easier to pack.

Uncover the Word Motion Graphics

I'm playing with some ideas and colors for this project. the animated intro is far from done but I think that this is a good start.

Winter Jam 2011

I was recently in Reading, PA filming a concert it was a fun project. It was good to hang out with the sidewalk prophets back stage. A few months ago I was also in Africa shooting a video them. It was very exiting to get to film and meet some great bands like Newsboys, David Crowder, Jason Castro, Kutless,Red, Franshesca Battistelli, KJ-52,Chris Sligh, Chris August, Sidewalk Prophets and Newsong.
